So you found the site. You looked around. You made an account. What now?
First, you might want to customise your profile a little bit. Nothing too big at first, but just enough to get you noticed in a crowd. Some people choose to start with their display name. Your display name is one of the first things people see, and you want to make a good impression. It can be found in Edit Profile > Profile. No scrolling required - it's one of the first fields!
Now that you've got a name, you might want a picture to go with it. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words, which, if it's true, means that a picture is worth a lot of Points! To change your avatar, simply go to Edit Profile > Avatar. It'll already be open if you edit your profile. You can upload a picture from your computer, or paste in a link. You'll get the same result: an avatar to go with your name!
Now that you've done a little customisation, you can venture into the wild, wild world. If you wanna break the ice a bit, try typing up a short intro in the Introductions board. It won't be too long till you get a response, and you'll feel better getting to know the community out of character. And with introductions off the agenda, you can finally start roleplaying!
There are four groups: the Dominion, the Cartel, the Sanctum, and the Anarchy. It's hard to describe any of them in just a few words, but a quick look at the board descriptions plus the actual board should give you a good idea. Once you've chosen, all you have to do is post a thread. You can make your character a newcomer of the group, or make out that they've been there all along. It's completely your choice.
You may want to make one account your main account, where you do all your socialising and out of character discussion, and a new account for every character for organisation purposes. Or you can have it all in one place, and have one account for all your characters plus the real you. Just be sure to post the in character stuff in the in character boards, and your out of character stuff in the out of character boards, and you're good.
There's not much more that needs explaining. If you're confused, you can check out other threads, post any questions you have in the Help board, or just send 'em to me! Don't worry, I don't bite. At least, not out of character.
