Created in February 2017, Empty Sky is a roleplay forum based loosely on the Warriors series by Erin Hunter, also commonly known as Warrior Cats. The site is set in an alternative universe, so the characters and Clans from the books do not exist, and are not available for roleplaying. Instead of ThunderClan, ShadowClan, WindClan and RiverClan like most traditional Warriors roleplays, Empty Sky revolves around groups that, while not unlike the canon Clans in structure, are very different from traditional Clans.

The four groups are the Dominion, the Cartel, the Sanctum, and the Anarchy. A brief summary of each will be given here, though a more detailed guide can be found in their respective boards.

The Dominion is very much like ThunderClan in many ways, yet vastly different in others. For one, the Dominion is, ultimately, good, though they are far from do-gooding heroes as ThunderClan is often portrayed. They are more of an administration than anything, preferring to follow the rulebook rather than their heart. 

The Cartel's intentions are not always as clear. They are not exactly covert about their operations, but are certainly not as honourable as they would have you think. Their ruthlessness make the Dominion seem soft, and they have complex if archaic customs. They are often nicknamed 'the Mafia', though certainly never to their faces. 

The Sanctum is often thought of as more of a safe place than a group. Many are disgraced former members from other groups, and this has led to their loyalty being questioned. Though they come from different places, most of them have one thing in common: they are lovers of science and pursuers of religion. 

The Anarchy is quite different from any of the other groups. They do not believe in morals and values. Rather, they choose to do as they wish, with the justification that they should be able to live their life how they choose to. They only have ranks to maintain a sense of organisation, but the leader's word does not count for much. 

Tensions are constantly at a high between the groups. The Anarchy is particularly despised by the Dominion, since the Anarchy's adminstration is quite different to that of the Dominion's. The Cartel is generally not to be trusted, making and breaking alliances for their benefit only, while the Sanctum is willing to form but wary of potential alliances. The Anarchy and the Sanctum are at an uneasy peace, having a common goal, but with different means of achieving it. 

Being a Warrior Cats roleplay, naturally, the main animals are cats. However, with Points that you earn through posting (a bare minimum of 20 per post, with a word count bonus), you can purchase anything from a small wild cat to the mighty lion. Also available for purchase are domestic and wild canines. Also available for purchase are posting privileges, such as locking, stickying, making a thread an announcement, or even having a spot in the header.
